OSHA, or Occupational Safety and Health Administrations is the government body assigned to regulate workplace safety.  From 1989 to 2002 the Silvi brothers, owners of Gibraltar Rock have had approximately 20 violations.  OSHA categorized most of these violations as "Serious" and many are related to hazardous silica (quartz) dust.
