Mr. Stephen Harris, attorney for Gibraltar Rock, Inc. cross-examined William Flederbach , air pollution and meteorology expert presented by New Hanover Township.

For the first 30 minutes Harris explained to the ZHB that he did not receive the input and output data from Flederbach computer modeling.  He cited statutes that said he has the right to them. He wanted to examine the data and be able to quiz Flederbach at this meeting, but because he wasn’t given the information, was unable to. Rebecca Bell, attorney for the ZHB said that Harris should send her a written request to subpoena the information. 

During the remaining time, Harris worked to discredit the testimony of Flederbach . Much of his early cross examination dealt with semantics and word nitpicking.

 Harris asked him questions on computer modeling, and the criteria of terrain, weather, and surroundings. Harris asked him questions about where he obtained his meteorological data. Harris also questioned him about how many runs of the computer model he did and if he actually looked at the data.  Flederbach said he only ran the model once, but on further cross-examination agreed that he ran it additional times.

Harris ended with bringing out that fact that Flederbach made conversion errors in his report.
